Sierra Club, Amnesty Team Up To Defend Human Rights

    In 1993, following the harassment and arrest of a prominent Kenyan environmental advocate, Prof. Wangari Maathai, whose grassroots skills have mobilized thousands of people to oppose the destruction of Kenya’s forests.
